Strike … Strike … Strike …

The reason why I am sitting in front of my desktop at home  and not thrashing my head on the table at my hostel , preparing for those good for nothing sessionals >>>>

Final year students were , apparently , very very angry at the way the college administration was going about the placement activities . So they decided to do the things “their” way . The day before the sessionals were scheduled to commence , the entire campus experienced a complete blackout ( courtesy to the Electrical Engineers  😛 … now you know what we are doing engineering for ) .

There was no lack of unity when it came to the support that other batches offered towards the strike . Ofcourse we showed no reluctancy , as the strike meant an escape from the sessionals and an unscheduled week off from studies . I guarantee that almost 90% of the participants were just like me , i.e. they didn’t really cared about the placement activities , all they looked forward to was a week off and all the enjoyment that they could extract out of this event .

The damage to the property that was caused in the process was not at called for . At last , it took police forces and one DM to bring things under control . In the meantime every non-concerned party took care to reserve a berth for their way back to their home , only to wait for an official notice declaring resumption of the session .
